The Isle of Man VAT number is a 9 or 12-digit number that shares the same characteristics as the UK VAT number. It is prefixed by the GB country code followed by the digits 00, and uses a weighted checksum. It is issued to businesses registered for VAT in the Isle of Man by HMRC.
This identifier follows a strict format, here represented as X = alphanumeric character, A = letter, 0 = digit, and # = alphanumeric or special character (*, +, ?).
