The Bulgarian VAT number (DDS / ДДС Номер) is a unique identification number for legal entities and individuals in Bulgaria. The number consists of 11 or 12 characters, the first two being "BG", the next being a 9-digit number for legal entities or a 10-digit number for individuals, with the last digit being a check number.
This identifier follows a strict format, here represented as X = alphanumeric character, A = letter, 0 = digit, and # = alphanumeric or special character (*, +, ?).
