Czech VAT number / Daňové identifikační číslo

The Czech Daňové identifikační číslo (DIČ) is a unique identification number for legal entities and individuals in the Czech Republic. The number consists of 10 to 12 characters, the first two being "CZ", the next being an 8-digit number for legal entities, a 9-digit number for individuals born before 1954, or a 10-digit number for individuals born after 1953, with the last digit being a check number.

This identifier follows a strict format, here represented as X = alphanumeric character, A = letter, 0 = digit, and # = alphanumeric or special character (*, +, ?).
