The ALV-numero (Arvonlisäveronumero, VAT number) is a unique identification number for legal entities in Finland. The number consists of 8 digits prefixed by the country code FI, and includes a weighted checksum algorithm.
This identifier follows a strict format, here represented as X = alphanumeric character, A = letter, 0 = digit, and # = alphanumeric or special character (*, +, ?).
